The author

Dr Carol O’Connor is founder and director of Vision in Practice Limited, a London based consultancy specialising in leadership development, business strategy and team building. She has led seminars and worked as a consultant for almost 20 years in the manufacturing and service industries and for government and the professions. Her professional services are sought by a wide range of clients located throughout Europe, the UK, the US and Asia.

Author of four highly successful management books and a frequent contributor to professional journals, she has written articles on communication, business strategy, motivation, creating vision for the future and leadership. Her writing is based on her direct experience as a consultant and trainer. Currently, she is developing a distance learning package for a leading South African publishing firm to provide leadership and management skills training to its subscribers in Africa and Asia.

Her doctorate is from the University of California where she researched communication breakdown in management teams;decision making behaviour of senior managers; and team building strategies of business leaders. She is also a faculty member for Boston University where she teaches negotiation and organisational psychology to MBA students.
