How to order

You can order any of the titles shown on this site directly from Thorogood. Order processing and distribution will be carried out by Marston Book Services.

Just click ‘Buy’ on the pages for the books you wish to purchase and then click 'Basket' to review the contents of your shopping basket, where you can remove items or change quantities. Once you are happy with the contents of your basket, continue on to the checkout page where you can enter your contact details; from there you can:

  • Proceed to our secure server to pay online by credit card
  • If you would like a proforma invoice, you can automatically submit your details to us
  • Print the form and send it to us by fax or post, enclosing a cheque (or credit card details if you would prefer not to pay online).
Fax Fax your order to Marston Book Services (use our online shopping basket or download a PDF order form) on +44 (0) 1235 465 555 with your credit card details (or proforma request).
Telephone We can accept credit card orders (and proforma requests) over the telephone on +44 (0) 1235 465 500.
Email If you would like to request a proforma invoice, send your name, address and details of which book(s) you wish to order to direct.orders@marston.co.uk. Note that although we are happy to accept orders this way, we do not recommend sending credit card details via email.

How to pay

We cannot despatch any books without payment. If you require a proforma invoice, we will be happy to oblige and will fulfill your order when we receive payment. You may pay by any of the following means:

  • Credit/Debit card: Visa, Mastercard, Switch, American Express
  • Cheque (in UK Pounds Sterling): made payable to Marston Book Services
  • BACS: request a proforma invoice, which has our bank details on it. We will despatch the books after we have received your BACS remittance.

Delivery

Although most titles are in stock and can be despatched within a few days, occasionally we have to wait for reprints so please allow 28 days for delivery. Delivery charges are as follows:

These discounts are calculated automatically when you add books to your shopping basket. Please contact us if you want to order more than 100 copies of any book.

Please note that these discounts apply only to hardback and paperback books. If you are interested in ordering bulk quantities of any reports, please contact us.

Returns

Under the UK's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to return any items within 7 days of delivery; however, we regret that we cannot accept returns of video or audio products where the item has been unsealed. Please return the item(s) to Marston Book Services at the address above, with a covering note quoting our invoice number and stating "Contract Cancellation" as the reason for return. Please note that unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty, you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us and any postage and packing charges; for your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service. Upon receiving the items in the condition they were sold we will issue a refund for the relevant portion of the invoice - please note that we cannot refund postage and packing charges. This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
