Overview

A practical approach to the key business skills

The second edition of The Shorter MBA is a unique distillation of the skills you need to develop for success in business. Most people cannot give up two years of their life to study for a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), but the techniques that are taught on an MBA course are invaluable. Ideal for the busy executive, this practical, accessible book presents all the essential theory, practice and techniques taught to MBA students.

Above all, The Shorter MBA is a practical book that covers every aspect of running a business.

The book is divided into three parts:

• Personal development
• Management skills
• Business development

and uses the latest research and business school studies to explain succinctly and clearly the key principles and practices of successful business.

The Shorter MBA is a must-have for:

• Busy executives who can’t spare two years out to study for an MBA but who do want expert guidance on how to upgrade all the necessary skills.

• Executives thinking of doing an MBA in the future and wishing to get a taster of what’s involved.

• Experienced executives who would like a refresher course that is expert and to the point but which doesn’t short change on any of the essentials.
